Devil's Corner Vineyard and the Hazards, is a gorgeous representation of the wonderful view from the vineyard, captured by the artist while travelling through Tasmania, starting as a photograph, masterfully translated into a rich and colourful oil painting.
This piece takes the viewer on a detailed and fantastic, almost aerial, journey over the vineyard, out to the soft inlets of Coles Bay and ultimately to the jagged and easily recognisable "Hazards", a dolorite and granite, fort like barrier protecting bay from the Tasman Sea, in the Freycinet National Park. Framed in a Tasmanian Oak box frame, this lovely piece would work well in a contemporary environment.
