A thought provoking painting depicting the ravaging of the countryside, a regular occurance in regional Australia. But present behind this destruction is the exquisite beauty of a soft sunset. Nature's everpresence and the colours of peace. As the artist painted this it seemed to be telling her this was a metaphor of the state of the world. Maybe, maybe not. The painting does draw you into it, to ponder the elements at play.
